Channel M is the TV station for Greater Manchester, wholly owned by The Guardian Media Group.

The past year has seen rapid growth and expansion for the channel, with the move to purpose built studios within Urbis in Manchester City Centre, production of live news broadcasts five days a week at 5pm and 9pm, the launch of a live three hour breakfast show and the development of the programme schedule to incorporate Channel M productions focused on entertainment and sport for Greater Manchester.

The channel is broadcast terrestrially, free to air as well as on the Virgin media cable network in the north west and on the SKY platform nation wide.

Channel M has also launched a broadband TV site, making the programmes available world wide.
